Goodluck-JonathanPresident Goodluck Jonathan has, on behalf of himself and the federal government, conveyed his condolences to Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State on the passing away of his father, Shehu Shema, on Monday, at the National Hospital in Abuja.
A condolence message signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Rueben Abati, said: “As the governor and members of his family mourn their father, who was an accomplished farmer and notable community leader, the president urges them to also give thanks to Almighty Allah for Alhaji Shehu’s long and fulfilled life.
The president believes that in passing on at the grand old age of 86, Alhaji Shehu will return to his maker in peace and contentment having produced worthy offsprings such as Governor Shema who will proudly carry on his legacy of worth and selfless service to their community, state and nation.”
